Belogorsk Gorge

Belogorsk Gorge.Located above the village of Sokuluk, the Belogorsk Gorge is notable for its unusual topography, including the remains of a large landslide and a 60-meter waterfall, the highest waterfall in northern Kyrgyzstan, known as the Belogorsk Waterfall. The gorge differs significantly from other gorges in the northern Tien Shan, with high rock formations and numerous springs and streams seeping down its slopes. At the end of the canyon road there is an impressive panorama of waterfalls falling from great heights, almost vertically steep rocks and the spectacular Black Spire Peak, notable for its unusual shape. Belogorsky Waterfall is one of the highest waterfalls in Tien Shan and the highest waterfall in northern Kyrgyzstan. Water gushes from a height of 60 meters and flows down wildly and forcefully. The spray from the waterfall can be felt 200 meters away, and standing near the waterfall is cooling even on the hottest days. The huge column of water formed by the waterfall can be seen 10-12 km away from the falls.

The distance from the end of the road to the waterfall is only 3 km, so people of all levels can reach the waterfall. Besides the waterfall, it is also possible to climb up to the upper parts of the gorge, where the remains of the great mudflow can be seen in person.
