Tour itinerary
Arrival in Tashkent.
Meeting at the airport, transfer and hotel accommodation after 14:00.
Welcome dinner at the Bek restaurant with tasting of delicious Tashkent shish kebab. Uzbek shish kebab always turns out very juicy and fragrant, we recommend eating it in combination with hot air tortilla and pickled onions.

Tashkent (excursion).
Tashkent is the multifaceted capital of modern Uzbekistan. The architecture of Tashkent impresses with its diversity, and oriental bazaars, as hundreds of years ago, come to life with the first rays of the sun and attract visitors with an abundance of juicy fruits and vegetables, thick aromas of freshly baked bread, tortillas and samsa.
Tashkent city tour: Khast Imam Square, Barak Khan Madrasah, Kafal al-Shashi Mazar mausoleum, Kukeldash madrasah, visit to the oldest bazaar in Tashkent – Chorsu.
Lunch at the Central Asian pilaf Center ”Besh Kozon”, where 10 tons of festive Tashkent pilaf are prepared every day in several giant cauldrons. Pilaf is the main culinary brand of Uzbekistan, it is always prepared in the morning so that it is ready for lunch. We recommend eating pilaf with a salad of fresh vegetables with onions (achik-chuchuk) and drinking hot tea.
Continuation of the tour: Independence Square, Amir Temur Square.
Dinner at the Soy restaurant, where you will taste the Uighur lagman – a dish of meat, vegetables and pulled long noodles.

Tashkent – Samarkand. (excursion).
Transfer to Samarkand by train “Afrosiab” or “Shark”. It is one of the oldest cities in the world and the former capital of the vast empire of Tamerlane. The museum city, the heart of the caravan trade of the Silk Road, Samarkand, and today perfectly preserved the unique aura of the Asian Middle Ages.
The beginning of the tour in Samarkand: the mausoleum of Gur-Emir – the tomb of the Great Tamerlane, the most famous square in Central Asia – Registan (Ulugbek Madrasah, Sher-Dor madrasah, Tillya-Kari madrasah).
Lunch at the Panjab pilaf center – tasting of Samarkand pilaf. It is believed that the light Samarkand pilaf is the most dietary of all pilafs. It is served not mixed, but laid out in layers on a sofa: first a layer of rice, then a zirvak (onion gravy with carrots and chickpeas) and meat on top, so that everyone can collect a portion to taste, adjusting the amount of ingredients.
Continuation of the tour of Samarkand: Bibi Khanum Mosque, Shahi-Zinda architectural ensemble, Ulugbek Observatory Museum, Siab Bazaar.
Dinner at the national house, a master class on cooking mantas with tasting. Manty is an exquisite dish of Uzbek cuisine, steamed from the most delicate thin dough with juicy meat filling inside.

Samarkand – Gijduvan – Bukhara (280 km, 4.5 hours).
Bukhara (excursion).
Transfer to Bukhara via Gijduvan – the craft center of Uzbekistan, which has been famous for its extraordinarily beautiful, original ceramics since ancient times. Visit to the Narzullaev pottery workshop. A master class in pottery in a ceramic workshop, the creation of ceramic products on a potter’s wheel under the guidance of an experienced master.
Lunch in the workshop with tasting of Gijduvan kebabs and tandoor kaboba – the most tender meat baked in the national clay oven (tandoor) and seasoned with archie needles.
Transfer to Bukhara – another ancient city of Uzbekistan, through which the Great Silk Road also passed. Medieval Bukhara was one of the main political, cultural and religious centers of the Middle East. More than 140 architectural monuments have been perfectly preserved here, including grandiose madrassas, mosques and the famous symbol of the city – the Kalyan minaret, the Ark fortress, active medieval baths and trade domes. The historical center of Bukhara is included in the UNESCO World Heritage List.
Bukhara city tour: Lyabi-Hauz ensemble, Kukeldash madrasah, Nodir-Devon-Begim madrasah, shopping domes.
Tasting of fine wines in the tasting room of the Shokhrud winery, where some of the best wines in Uzbekistan are produced.
Dinner at the national house, a master class on cooking Alat samsa. Alat samsa is made from unleavened dough mixed in meat broth, and very juicy meat filling, in which, in addition to onions and spices, tomatoes are added.

Bukhara (excursion).
Bukhara city tour: Samanid Mausoleum, Chashma Ayub tomb, Bolo-House complex, ancient Ark fortress, Poy-Kalyan complex.
Lunch at the Chinor teahouse, where you will enjoy the incomparable soup shurpa balaza (shurpa with peas) and dolma – grape leaves stuffed with minced meat, which are cooked in a small amount of broth.
Continuation of the tour: Abdulaziz Khan Madrasah, Ulugbek Madrasah.
Tea party in the tea house “Spices of the Silk Road” – tasting tea with spices and traditional Bukhara sweets.
Master class on cooking Bukhara pilaf in the guest house. A professional oshpaz (a cook specializing in pilaf preparation) will reveal culinary secrets, tell and show how to cook a real Bukhara pilaf.
