Tour itinerary
Bishkek city – Arrival
Arrival in Bishkek. You will be met by your Tour driver and transferred to your hotel.14:00 Check in. Meet your guide and tour the capital of Kyrgyzstan. Kyrgyz National Philharmonic, Manas Statue, Oak Park, Alatu Square, Victory Square, Museums, Osh Market etc. Overnight at the hotel.

Bishkek – Burana – Cholpon Ata.
Breakfast. Depart Bishkek at 08:00. First, stop at Burana Tower, which remains in the ancient city of Balasagun (11th-13th century). After visiting Burana Tower we will watch the Kyrgyz national sport Urak Tartish (goat pulling). Urak Tartish (or Kok Bol) is a competition between two horsemen on a goat carcass. Lunch on the way
Transfer to Cholpon Ata. Dinner at a hotel near Issyk Kul Lake.

Cholpon Ata – Karakol
Transfer to Karakol. En route, stop at the open-air petroglyph museum in Cholpon Ata. Said to date from 500 BC – 100 AD, these petroglyphs depict wolves, long-horned mountain goats, goats, horses, snow leopards, sacrifices and hunting scenes. A museum on local folklore can also be visited.
Karakol. Karakol city tour: Visit the Prezhevalsky Museum, the wooden Orthodox Church and the Chinese-style Dungan Mosque. Kyrgyzstan is a multi-ethnic country and on this tour, you will be exposed to many different countries and cultures. Today you will have dinner in a Uyghur or Dungan home listening to Kyrgyz folk music and songs. These ethnic groups came to Kyrgyzstan from China and have been living in Karakol since 1869. Overnight in a guesthouse.

Karakol-Jeti Oguz – Kochkor
Travel along the southern shore of Lake Issyk-Kul to Kochkor. On the way, visit the Jeti Oguz gorge. Your guide will tell you about the legends surrounding Jeti Oguz (seven bulls) and the Broken Heart Rock. After lunch, transfer to Bokombaevo to watch an eagle hunting show. Continue to Kochkor. You are guaranteed the best view of Lake Issyk-Kul. Dinner at a Kyrgyz family house. Overnight in a guesthouse.

Kochkor – Son-Kul
After breakfast visit a felt carpet workshop in Kochkor. Observe the production process of Kyrgyz felt carpets.
Transfer to Son-kol (120 km). Sonkol is one of the highest lakes in Kyrgyzstan (3016 m above sea level). This is a place where you can experience nomadic life. You can ride horses, see edelweiss flowers, camels, yaks and golden eagles and watch local women making Kyrgyzstan’s national drink kimyz (mare’s milk). This is a remote mountain lake located on a high treeless plateau where shepherds bring their animals in summer, set up camp and build yurts to live in. Hundreds of herds of livestock and various yurts can be seen in this spectacular place. Dinner in the evening. Overnight at the yurt camp.

Sonkol – Bishkek.
Early morning transfer to Bishkek (400 km). Arrival in Bishkek. Farewell dinner accompanied by Kyrgyz folk dances. Overnight at the hotel.
