If you are tired of being at home and want to escape the gray routine, but don’t want to go far or spend too much time in the car, this tour is for you. Not only will you see the beauty of the Kyrgyzstan mountains, colorful landscapes and rugged mountain streams, but you can also experience the medicinal benefits of hippotherapy (contact with horses). Shamsi Valley is only a few hours drive from the capital, but it is enough to completely get away from civilization.

Unforgettable adventures await you: horseback riding, overnight stays in tents, forest trips, tea by the fire with mountain medicinal herbs and clear starry skies that city people only dream about. This tour is suitable for both beginners, families with children and advanced hikers.

TOUR ITINERARY

Day 1

Bishkek city – Shamsi Gorge

Transfer from Bishkek to Shamsi Gorge (130 km / 2.5 hours).

On this day, travel 130 km from Bishkek to Shamsi Gorge. Arrive at the fence where guided horses are waiting for you. From here, you drive the horses to the Tuurakain valley where you will have lunch. After lunch, relax and enjoy a walk or horseback ride through the forest. Dinner and evening on tour basis.

Day 2

Shamsi Gorge – Horse track day in Shamsi Gorge

Horse track day in Shamsi Gorge

After breakfast, head to the Shamsi Valley on horseback. Cross a low pass and descend to the river. Ride along the river to your destination, the Shah’s house. Riding time: 6-7 hours. Overnight in tents at 2000 m altitude.

Day 3

Shamsi gorge – Bishkek ( 130 km drive)

Free time after breakfast. Then descent to the vehicle on horseback. Riding time: 4-5 hours. Return to Bishkek by car. On the way visit the historical and archaeological complex Burana Tower (minaret) Historians and archaeologists have proven that the settlement was the capital of the Karakanid Khanate and was once called Balasagun. Balasagun was built in the mid-10th century and today Burana’s Tower is the central monument of the complex. Return to Bishkek to the hotel. End of the program.
