Kyzart touristic festival

Description

Period: 1 July – 3 july  

Group size: min 2-15 persons

Purpose: Formation and development of tourist activities in Jumgal district, Naryn reqion, Kyrgyzstan. To celebrate the cultural heritage of our people, national games, as well as handicrafts, nature, and history of the nomadic people of Son-Kul, Kilemche pastures, Jumgal valley. The festival continued to showcase traditional Kyrgyz music, dance, crafts, and cuisine. Additionally, outdoor activities such as horseback riding, eagle hunting demonstrations, and nomadic games might have been featured, providing visitors with a comprehensive experience of Kyrgyzstan’s rich cultural heritage. Kyzart Fest is an annual cultural event held in the village of Kyzart, located in the Kochkor District of Naryn Region, Kyrgyzstan. The festival typically celebrates Kyrgyz culture, traditions, and heritage through various activities, performances, and exhibition.

The festival program includes 4 types of tours for your choice:

  • 3-day walking tour
  • 3-day horse tour
  • 3-day jeep tour 
  • 1 day of entertainment tour

Additional information

Son Kol, also spelled as Song Kol or Son-Kul, is a high-altitude mountain lake located in the Naryn Province of Kyrgyzstan. It’s one of the largest alpine lakes in the country and sits at an altitude of around 3016 meters (9895 feet) above sea level. The lake is surrounded by expansive summer pastures, making it a popular destination for nomadic herders and travelers alike.

Organizers: Jumgal tourism public association, local deputies of Kuyruchuk-Kyzart village government and local tourist companies.

ATTENTIONTransportation can be organized from Bishkek to Kyzart and return to Bishkek after end of festival for extra cost.

Kyzart village

  • 1:00 p.m. Opening ceremony of the festival (choymo bread and food)
  • 13:30 Lunch
  • 14:00 Cultural events, concert program. Folklore show:
    Kyrgyz national music, dance.
  • At 15:00 with national clothes and ethno products of the Kyrgyz people
    acquaintance, Kyrgyz tradition – putting the baby in the cradle.
  • 15:40 Shirdak show. Master classes on national crafts
    (cress, mottled felt, raw braid, hair braid, etc.)
  • 16:40 Demonstration of how to sew a gray house and a gray house

Kyzart – Kilemche pasture
09:00 Departure from Kyzart village to Kilemche pasture. With specially prepared pomp, the procession from Kyzart village to Kilemche pasture begins. Showing the mobile life of the Kyrgyz people. (choose 1 of 3 type)

  • 12:00-13:00 Stop on the way to the Bazar-Turuk settlement and rest
    having lunch.
  • 13:00-14:00 Travel from Bazar Turuk to Kilimche settlement

    Introduction to Kyrgyz national games and traditions.

Kilemche – Son-Kul valley
The magnificent beauty of Kilimche pastures and the flowing Son-Kul can be seen from above. Getting to know the general space of the Jumgal Valley. Son-Kul, Kilemche, etc. learn about the history of places and legends about it

  • At 08:00 a.m. Departure from Kileme pasture to Son-Kul pasture.

  • At 20:30-21:30 there will be a bonfire, singing and laughter, and playing the white pot game.

At 08:00 breakfast will be served and a clean-up campaign will be held under the title “Protecting the ecology of Son Kul”.
