Recognized as one of the world’s most iconic festivals celebrating nomadic culture, this event is a must-see for travelers seeking authentic experiences of Central Asian heritage.

This exclusive group tour offers an immersive journey into the traditions of the nomadic peoples of Central Asia and a rare opportunity to attend the World Nomad Games 2026. Important Notes for the Tour

  • Early Check-In: If you wish to check in earlier on the first day, an additional fee equal to the cost of one night’s stay will apply; standard check-in is at 14:00 and check-out is at 12:00.
  • Accommodation: Accommodation is provided in a yurt camp on a shared basis with same-sex participants, 6 people per yurt.
  • Clothing: Warm clothing is strongly recommended, especially for mountain areas.
  • Booking & Group Size: The number of spots is limited, so early booking is advised; the maximum group size is 12 participants.
  • Important Notice: Due to high demand and possible overbooking during the World Nomad Games, accommodation may be changed to a similar hotel or guesthouse.
  • Trip Extension: Trip extensions are available upon request on an individual basis.

What’s Not Included:

  • International Flights: All flights to and from Kyrgyzstan.
  • Airport Transfer in Bishkek: $40 USD per person, one way.
  • Early Check-in: Extra charge applies on Day 1.
  • Medical Insurance: Not included.
  • Alcoholic Beverages: Drinks at restaurants are not included.
  • Horse Riding: Activities at Son-Kul Lake are not included.

Arrival & Bishkek City Tour

Airport Arrival – Bishkek: Upon arrival in Bishkek, transfer to your hotel and check-in. Take some time to rest and refresh.

City Tour (10:00 AM): Explore the highlights of Bishkek, including Central Square, Oak Park featuring sculptures of famous Kyrgyz personalities, open-air markets, the Concert Hall & Ballet, Old Square, and the National Philharmonic.

World Nomad Games Opening Ceremony: In the afternoon, prepare to attend the 6th World Nomad Games Opening Ceremony at Bishkek Arena, witnessing the spectacular cultural and sporting performances.

Bishkek to Cholpon-Ata, Issyk-Kul Lake: 6th World Nomad Games 2026

Breakfast at the hotel. Depart for Cholpon-Ata on the shores of Issyk-Kul Lake, home to the main venues of the 6th World Nomad Games 2026.

Upon arrival, begin exploring the festival according to the official schedule of events. The Games are held across four unique venues:

  • Hippodrome: All horse-related competitions.
  • Sports Centre: Indoor sports and competitions.
  • Beach Area: Traditional wrestling and other outdoor events.
  • Yurt Village in Kyrchyn Gorge: Experience nomadic culture and lifestyle.

Cholpon-Ata: World Nomad Games 2026

Over the next two days, explore the 6th World Nomad Games 2026 across its multiple venues in Cholpon-Ata. Experience the full excitement of this world-famous nomadic festival with competitions and cultural events held at various locations.

Witness a wide range of traditional nomadic sports and games, including:

  • Alysh (belt wrestling) – a classic wrestling discipline.
  • Eagle hunting demonstrations – showcasing ancient hunting traditions.
  • Bone throwing – a unique cultural contest.
  • Kok-Boru (headless goat polo) – the most thrilling and popular game among nomadic peoples.

Immerse yourself in the nomadic heritage and festival atmosphere, enjoying spectacular performances, competitions, and cultural displays.

Kyrchyn Pasture: Ethno Nomad Village & World Nomad Games

After breakfast, drive 30 km from Cholpon-Ata to Kyrchyn Pasture, where over 300 traditional Kyrgyz yurts are set up to form the Ethno Nomad Village. Several nomadic games and cultural events take place here, welcoming visitors into the heart of Kyrgyz traditions.

Young men and women dressed in traditional national costumes greet guests at the beautiful village entrance, creating an immersive introduction to nomadic life. From the first steps inside the village, travelers will experience the unique atmosphere of nomadic culture, witness traditional customs, and connect with the heritage of the Kyrgyz people.

The opening of the Nomad Village is celebrated with a grand folk festival, featuring music, dance, and authentic nomadic performances.

Cholpon-Ata to Karakol, Jety Oguz Gorge & South Issyk-Kul Lake

After breakfast, drive approximately 300 km (4–5 hours) to Jety Oguz Gorge, passing through Karakol. Along the way, visit notable landmarks in Karakol, including the Przhevalsky Museum, Dungan Mosque (built in 1910), and the Holy Trinity Cathedral (18th century).

Explore the famous red rock formations in Jety Oguz, including the Seven Bulls and Broken Heart Mountain. Continue to the Fairy Tale Canyon, where a 1–1.5 hour hike allows you to admire bizarre stone and clay formations in a landscape of multi-colored clays, minerals, and rocks, creating a truly magical scenery.

By evening, arrive in Ton, on the southern shore of Issyk-Kul Lake. Relax with dinner and overnight stay at a cozy Guest House.

South Issyk-Kul Lake to Son-Kul Lake (250 km, 5–6 hrs)

After breakfast, visit Ak-Say Canyon, where you can enjoy a hike to panoramic viewpoints and even take a refreshing swim in the lake. A picnic lunch on the beach completes this scenic stop.

Continue the journey to Son-Kul Lake, passing via Orto-Tokoi Water Reservoir and Kalmak Ashuu Pass. Nestled at 3,060 meters above sea level, Son-Kul Lake offers a unique glimpse into the nomadic life of Kyrgyz people. Here, ancient culture, traditions, and customs are still very much alive, providing an authentic nomadic experience.

Son-Kul Lake: Free Day

After breakfast, enjoy a leisure day surrounded by the pristine nature of Son-Kul Lake. Take relaxing walks along the lakeside, breathe in the fresh mountain air, and soak in the peaceful alpine scenery.

For the adventurous, optional horse riding is available at the summer pastures, offering an authentic experience of nomadic life. In early September, the pastures around Son-Kul are covered with blooming alpine flowers, including Edelweiss, creating a truly magical landscape.

Son-Kul Lake to Bishkek via Burana Tower (350 km, 4–5 hrs)

After breakfast, enjoy the stunning landscapes of Son-Kul Lake with a 2–3 hour horse ride, guided by a local horse expert, for a final taste of nomadic life.

Have lunch at the Yurt Inn before departing for Bishkek. The scenic drive takes approximately 5–6 hours via Kochkor, with a stop at the historic Burana Tower (10th–11th century), a key landmark along the Great Silk Road.

Arrive in Bishkek, check in at the hotel, and take some time to rest and relax.
