Often referred to as the “Kazakh Wild West,” it features vast deserts, dramatic canyons, white limestone mountains, and the famous Valley of Balls (Torysh) with its mysterious spherical rock formations. The region is also home to sacred underground mosques like Beket-Ata and Shakpak-Ata, attracting pilgrims and travelers alike.
