Arrival in Almaty

Upon arrival in Almaty, a driver will greet you and provide transfer to your hotel. After check-in, you can settle in and relax. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Almaty

Your driver and guide will meet you in the hotel lobby to begin a city tour of Almaty. You will visit Panfilov Park, Zenkov Cathedral, Republic Square, and the Central State Museum (closed on Tuesdays).

In the afternoon, a short 25 km drive will take you to Chimbulak Ski Resort, where you can ride the cable car and admire the breathtaking views of the snow-capped Tian Shan Mountains.

The final stop of the day will be the Sunkar Falcon Farm (closed on Mondays and Tuesdays), where you’ll witness a spectacular falconry show, showcasing a key tradition of the Kazakh nomadic heritage.

Afterwards, return to the hotel for an overnight stay.

Almaty – Charyn Canyon – Almaty

Your guide and driver will meet you in the hotel lobby, and you’ll set off on a journey to Charyn Canyon (220 km, 3–4 hours). Located in eastern Kazakhstan, this breathtaking natural wonder features dramatic cliffs and a winding gorge, displaying an array of colors and rock formations.

The canyon is part of Charyn National Park, home to the famous Ash Tree Grove and the stunning Valley of Castles, which stretches nearly 3 km, with towering cliffs resembling ancient fortresses. Although the drive is long, the magnificent scenery makes the journey truly worthwhile, leaving unforgettable memories.

Upon arrival, take a break to rest and enjoy a picnic. Then, explore the canyon on foot, soaking in its spectacular landscapes.

In the afternoon, return to Almaty and transfer back to your hotel for an overnight stay.

Almaty – Issyk Lake – Almaty – Astana

Your driver and guide will meet you in the hotel lobby to begin your journey to Issyk Lake (64 km, ~1 hour). Along the way, stop at the Tomb of the Golden Man, one of Kazakhstan’s most iconic symbols.

Continue the drive as the road ascends to 1,756 meters above sea level, offering stunning views of the Tian Shan Mountains and the surrounding Natural Park. Upon arrival at Issyk Lake, enjoy some free time to relax and take in the breathtaking scenery.

In the afternoon, return to Almaty and transfer to the airport for a flight to Astana. Upon arrival, you will be met at the airport and transferred to your hotel for an overnight stay.

Astana 

Meet your guide at the hotel lobby to begin an exciting sightseeing tour of Kazakhstan’s capital. Start by exploring the “Old Center”, once known as Akmolinsk, a historic merchant town.

In the afternoon, visit the Millennium Axis, a visionary urban design concept by Kisho Kurokawa, the chief architect behind Astana’s master plan. Discover the Opera House, admire the elegant fountains at Round Square, and stroll along the Nurzhol and Green Water boulevards, lined with unique skyscrapers.

Ascend to the top of Bayterek Monument, where you’ll be treated to a breathtaking panoramic view of the city. End the tour with a visit to Khan Shatyr, a famous shopping and entertainment complex.

Afterward, transfer back to the hotel for an overnight stay.

Astana – ALZHIR – Astana

In the morning, depart from Astana and head to the ALZHIR Memorial Complex, located 40 km from the city. This concentration camp, established in 1938, was situated in the heart of the Kazakh steppe and operated until 1953, the year of Stalin’s death. Over 15 years, nearly 20,000 women from across the USSR were imprisoned here. In 2007, a memorial complex was built on the former ALZHIR site to honor the victims of Stalin’s repressions.

Return to Astana and visit the Palace of Peace and Reconciliation, followed by a stop at the Nur-Alem complex at the EXPO Center. Enjoy free time before heading back to the hotel for an overnight stay.
