Mountain Tourism Championship to Be Held in Chunkurchak
From May 15 to 18, 2025, the stunning Chunkurchak Gorge in Chui Region will host the Kyrgyzstan Mountain Tourism Championship. The top sport tourism teams from across the country will gather to compete in real alpine conditions, demonstrating their skill, endurance, and teamwork.
Participants will face technical mountain routes of varying difficulty — including steep ascents, challenging traverses, and descents down rugged terrain. The competition will determine the strongest athletes and teams in the country, making it the key event of the mountain tourism season.
The event is organized by the Federation of Sports Tourism of the Kyrgyz Republic. Spectators, fans, and anyone passionate about active travel and adventure tourism are warmly invited to attend.
